2022Silk
For our research "Alpensüdseite" with Melanie Gandyra, I experimented with silk paintings and was inspired by the shapes and colors of the gardens of Lake Maggiore. In the past, silk production was an important industry in Ticino. Since I knew this technique from my childhood and had found old silk scarves in the basement, I found it super exciting to get involved with it again. And to observe how the color behaves on the fabric.
